Online Renewal Instructions
1. Scroll Over “Catalogue” in the Main Menu
IMPORTANT: Please read through these instructions entirely before attempting to follow them because
clicking on the link will cause a new web page to open.
Select ‘Search for / Renew Items’
2. Log In to Your Account
Once the catalogue page opens, you will notice an ‘Account Login’ section in the top left corner
of the page:
- ‘Library Barcode’ = the barcode number from your library card (no spaces)
- ‘PIN’ = the last 4 digits of your phone number.
If this does not work, please contact the library during open hours by calling 905-985-7686.
3. Select the Item
Once you are in your patron account, you will see all the items that you currently have out with a column to the left of each title. If your item says ‘Select for Renewal’ in this column you should be able to renew it simply by 1) clicking in the check box and then 2) clicking on the ‘Renew’ button below the list (you may need to scroll down to see this if you have a lot of items out).
An item may not be eligible for renewal for the following reasons, so please try and give
yourself a few extra days in case the item cannot be renewed:
- Another customer has put in a request on that item
- You have reached your maximum number of renewals on that item
4. Confirm the New Due Date
Once you have completed the renewal please double check the ‘Due Date’ column under your checked out items and make a note of the new date:
