Zoomer Tech Club
Are you looking for some guidance with your new computer, tablet or cell phone? Our Zoomer Tech Club is and excellent group for seniors who want to learn at their own pace and socialize a bit at the same time. It also provides a great opportunity to help others by trading technology tips and tricks.

Every Saturday from 10 am to 12 pm

This is a drop-in program and registration is not required.

New! Digital Projects
Do you have a digital project you’re working on or something that you want to learn that takes a bit more attention and instruction than we can provide during Zoomer Tech Club? Sign up for one of our Digital Project dates to get assistance from a library staff member.

Each session will take a maximum of three participants so you can receive more individualized assistance. Spaces fill quickly, so register early!

Family Law Information Session
The Family Law Info Session is a free two-hour session conducted by a family lawyer and provides a general overview of the areas of law that are relevant to separation and divorce, the effects of separation and divorce on adults and children; alternatives to litigation; family law issues; the family court system and local resources and programs. This information is critical, especially for those individuals who are experiencing divorce or are assisting others who are going through it.

The Family Mediation Resource Centre (“FMRC”) is a non-profit organization which provides free resources and affordable programming to families experiencing significant change brought on by separation / divorce. FMRC’s mission is to improve access to community resources, legal information and alternatives to family litigation for everyone and especially for the most vulnerable individuals.

Information Session with DRPS
Join Detective Constable Martin Franssen of Durham Regional Police Services to learn about fraud awareness and prevention.  These sessions are free and open to community members of all ages, but may be of particular interest to seniors. Sessions are approximately 2 hours in length.

This unique program for 3 to 5 year olds teaches basic computer skills through child-friendly, educational websites.

March Break at the Library
We’re planning a great line up of activities for all ages during March Break, which runs from March 8th to 17th, 2019.

We’ll be bringing back some of our favourite March Break programs from the past few years and adding some new options as well.  We will be offering a variety of programs for all ages, including some great new family movies!
