Viniyoga & Mindfulness Workshops with David Maian
Introduction to Viniyoga

Viniyoga is geared to the participant, rather than assuming there is one “right” way to do asanas. Viniyoga links movement with breath, making each movement more powerful, mindful, and structurally integrated. The aim of each sequence is to achieve the function of a poses, rather than their form.
Viniyoga will give you a sense of physical and mental improvement to carry forward. The goal is to feel physically and mentally integrated, centered and relaxed.

Bring a yoga mat or large towel if you don’t have a mat … come and enjoy.

When: Thursday, Sept. 20th from 7:30-8:30 pm

Introduction to the Mindfulness Process

Mindfulness, or present-moment awareness, facilitates adaptive responses to day to day stressful situations. Mindfulness responses generated through practices introduced this evening can improve your ability to address these situations.
Become aware of attitudes, and practical easy to follow methods to help you regulate your emotional and physical responses to everyday situations. After the presentation you will have a deeper understanding of how to be more relaxed and centered in your daily routines.

When: Thursday, September 27th from 7:30-8:30 pm

David Maian has over 20 years of experience teaching yoga and mindfulness programs in Durham Region. He also offers individual yoga therapy and Yoga Teacher Training
