Join Sacha Farrell, an Early Literacy Specialist with Ontario Early Years, for this three-session program introducing babies (birth to twelve months) and their family to the world of books. This program is designed to provide parents with an understanding of their child's learning potential and abilities, promote language development, learn links to community programs and most importantly have fun with their baby. Participants will also have the opportunity to create a book with their baby. Mondays-September 15th, 22nd and 29th at 10:00 amPlease call the Library at 905-985-7686 to Register. |

We're looking for teen volunteers to let us know what you want from your library. Monthly Teen Advisory Group (TAG) meetings are a great way to earn community service hours while helping us make the Library a great place for teens. Interested? Brown Bag Book Club Join us for a noon-hour book discussion and light refreshments. Feel
free to bring your own 'brown bag' lunch to enjoy during the book club
meeting.

Our 4th annual Snowflake Sale will take place in December, 2008. Local Artists & Artisans who are interested in participating can find details and download an application form at www.scugoglibrary.ca/gallery.php after July 21st.The Kent Farndale Gallery is open to the public during the Library's hours of operation. However, as the Gallery is used for the Library's programs and as a community meeting room, it is occasionally closed to the public during Library hours.
