Online Programs for Summer 2020
We hope that all of our patrons are doing well and keeping safe! The Library is now open for Stage 3 Services and we hope to see you soon, but to keep everyone safe we have decided to continue with our successful online programs until the Fall. Here is the line-up for the rest of the summer:
Tea & Books Live Stream
You asked and we answered! We will be hosting Tea & Books on Facebook Live every month. Come discover a new author or find out more about the titles creating a buzz as we discuss our latest fiction and non-fiction picks. Note: You are responsible for your own tea. Tune in on August 6th at 2pm at:

If you can't make it, you can catch up with the recorded version later on our Facebook Page or our YouTube Channel.
TD Summer Reading

Although we can't offer in-person programming this summer, we have revamped our Summer Reading program to offer innovative ways to encourage kids to read all summer long!

Read & Bead: Our popular reading incentive is back, and this year we’re providing parents and caregivers with a Read & Bead Track Pack so you can encourage kids to keep reading all summer by rewarding a bead for every 15 minutes of reading. The Track Pack contains: a ‘brag tag’, necklace or keychain, and a supply of beads.

Beanstack: We are now using this online platform for kids to record their reading time, leave book reviews for other readers, and earn virtual badges for time spent reading. Beanstack can be accessed at scugoglibrary.beanstack.org or just download the Beanstack app and select Scugog Memorial Public Library from the list of available libraries!

Live Stream Summer Reading Club Programs: Beth, our Summer Reading Club Coordinator for the past two years is back this summer and is delivering the same great programming that kids loved, but she has taken it online this year! Join her on the library’s Facebook Live page every weekday at 10 am and 2 pm for stories, crafts & fun.
If you miss any, don't worry, you can catch up with the recorded version on our Facebook Page or check out our Virtual Summer Reading Club Playlist on YouTube to watch them over and over again!
