NEW! Making the Most of Your Digital Photos
You've taken some great shots with your digital camera, tablet, or phone, but now what? In this seminar, we'll show you some free software you can use to do basic edits to your photos. We'll also show you how to share you photos on social media, send them as email attachments, and cover some options for printing.

Zoomer Tech Club

Come in on Saturdays from 2-4 to talk about technology and get encouragement from your peers.  Sit down with your iPad, tablet or laptop and share tricks and tips that you have learned.  For one hour we will have a library staff member sit in with you to help troubleshoot computer problems. 

When: Every Saturday from 2pm - 4pm from July 2nd to August 13th (no meetings on August 20th & 27th)

This is a drop-in program and pre-registration is not required. 
NEW! Kids' Computer Coding Club
Join us Friday afternoons in July to learn how to code your own stories, games and animation using the Scratch programming language. Scratch is provided by the MIT Learning Lab and offers a great way for kids to learn beginning programming. No experience necessary!
Fridays, July 8,15,22 & 29 from 3-4 pm
Participants must sign up for all 4 sessions. 
 
This program is open to kids ages 8-12 and is free of charge. Class size is extremely limited so please register in advance by visiting or calling the Library at 905-985-7686 ext. 101.
 LEGO Engineering Contest
Youth, Tweens, Teens and Families can enter their own Lego creations!

Submission Date: Thursday, July 7th or Friday, July 8th during library hours 
Pick-Up Date: Saturday, July 23rd between 10 am & 5 pm 
There are 4 categories this year:
1) Ages 8 & under (Youth)
2) Ages 9-12 (Tween)
3) Ages 13-18 (Teen)
4) Family Effort (2 or more family members - any age)
There will be a prize awarded in each category on Friday, July 15th.
The Lego creations will be on display from July 9th to July 15th. 
Paws for Stories 
What's more fun than reading a great book? Reading a great book to a Great Dane!

Join SJA Therapy Dog Bella for Scugog Memorial Public Library's newest program: Paws for Stories.
Kids in Kindergarten to grade 6 can register for a 4 week session to read to Bella on Saturday mornings at the Library.

When: Tuesday July 12th, 19th, and 26th between 6:30 & 7:30pm

Every participant gets a 15 minute time slot to read to Bella and readers must commit to attending all four sessions. 
Summer Reading Club 2016 
Get ready for another summer of fun with the TD Summer Reading Club!
 
Use your imagination to embark on an exciting adventure with this year's TD Summer Reading Club.
 
Registration Begins on Thursday, June 30th at 10 am, but you can sign up any time after that date.  You can participate in any way you'd like.  You can join us each week for reading club programs or read on your own and report in at the library.

This year we're offering a drop-in twice a week where you can report on what you've read and score points for your team.

Summer Reading Drop In Reporting is available at the following times: 
Mondays between 11 & 12 or between 2:45 & 3:30
Wednesdays between 11 & 12 or between 2:30 & 3:30

Bring your little one for songs, stories and movement activities in this fast-paced, fun-filled half-hour program.  For 1 and 2 year olds.

Pre-Reader Summer Reading Club
Children ages 3 to 5 will enjoy a 45 minute session featuring stories, songs and take-home crafts.

Babytime
