LEGO Engineering Contest 

Teens and Tweens ages 8-18 can enter their own Lego creations.

Submission Date: Thursday July 4th, 2013 between 10am & 9pm.

Pick up Date: Saturday, July 13th, 2013 between 10am & 5pm.



There are 4 categories this year:

1) Buildings

2) Vehicles

3) Creatures (animals, insects, robots dinosaurs)

4) Parent and Child Team.

There will be a prize awarded in each category on Thursday July 11th.The Lego creations will be on display from July 5th to July 12th, 2013.  

SUMMER READING CLUB!

Get ready for a Summer full of adventure with the TD Summer Reading Club!

Use your imagination t o embark on a refreshing trip over & under the sea with this year's TD Summer Reading Club Theme - Go! 


Registration Begins on Friday, June 28th at 10 am, but you can sign up any time after that date.  You can participate in any way you'd like.  You can join us each week for reading club programs or read on your own and report in at the library. 

This year we're offering a drop-in on twice a week where you can report on what you've read and score points for your team.

Summer Kids' Flicks

Join us on Friday Afternoons for Big Screen Movie Matinees. It only costs a toonie for a ticket or $5 for a family of 4 or more. Bring your own snacks!

Our Early Literacy Programs Special 6 Week Summer Session!

Bring your little one for songs, stories and movement activities in this fast-paced, fun-filled half-hour program.  For 1 to 3 year olds.
When: 11:15 to 11:45 am 

Wednesdays or Thursdays
(from July 3rd to August 8th)


Preschool Storytime  Children ages 3 to 5 will enjoy a 45 minute session  featuring exciting and educational literacy activities. Join us for stories, songs and take-home crafts.
When: 10:30 to 11:15 am 
Wednesdays or Thursdays (from July 3rd to August 8th) 

 

Tech for Tots    
This unique program for 3 to 5 year olds teaches the basics of computer skills through child-friendly, educational web-sites.

When: 10:00 to 10:30 am

Room Rentals 

Did you know that the library has several rooms that are available for rent?

Rooms may be booked for community use, e.g. meetings, education (including training), cultural events and community interest activities. At this time rooms are not available for private functions (e.g. weddings, birthday parties, etc.)
