March Break Boredom Busters
Digital Photography Workshop with a Professional Photographer
Join Jonathan van Bilsen, a professional photographer and founder of the North Durham Photography Association for this series of three workshops.  We'll learn all about taking all kinds of photos & the cool things you can do with digital photography. 
Spaces are limited, so register early.  For 8 to 12 year olds.
When:
Tuesday and Wednesday, Thursday March 12th-14th
Time: 10 am to 12 pm (you must register for all three sessions). 
$10 Materials Fee for gallery prints (you get to keep them once your exhibition is over!).  Bring a digital camera if you have one. 

Library Scavenger Hunt
Do you know Dewey? Think you know where to find everything in the Library? Test your knowledge by searching for clues throughout the Library.
  For ages 6 and up.
When: Monday, March 12th 2-3 pm. Free!

Bored Games
What's more fun on a Monday afternoon than playing games? Come join us, meet some new friends and choose from a selection of board games for an afternoon of fun. For ages 6 and up.

Egg Drop Challenge
Give your brain a workout with this engineering challenge. Can you create a contraption to protect a raw egg from a ten-foot drop? Join us for this two-hour workshop where you'll work in a team to rise to the challenge! For ages 8 and up.
When: Tuesday, March 13th, 2-4 pm. Free!

 
Kid Concoctions
The bestselling series of books shows you how to make all kinds of cool stuff with basic household ingredients. You'll take home a sample of the day's surprise concoction and a copy of the recipe to make more of your own at home. For ages 6 and up.

Movie Make-up Workshop
Have you always wanted to learn how to make gashes, cuts and other gruesome special effects with make-up?  Join us for this session and you'll have plenty of time to practice your skills for next Halloween. For ages 8 and up.
